But I remember something else - the game glitched up after I defeated the big thwomp in Bowser's Tower. I couldn't move. The screen just kept on shaking from all those little thwomp.

thomp bug?? hm.. I'lllook into it. skip that fight for now. it's there in case you need to level up, but you should be fine.

I might have to remove the part that freezes marfio when he gets smashed or something...but editing field events can glitch the game..and you have to start a new game for the updates.

Oh and dark, you shoud put this in the front page in downloading instructions. This game works perfectly fine in Zsnes, to remove the freezes (the most popular one for example, is when u get the fifth star, in the screen, it freezes, or when axem rangers uses breaker beam) to prevent that, all you have to do is load the game through the emulator, when the game is highlighted, select the box that says PAL next to it, then select load.

If the game is laggy at the beginning cause of this, then make a save state through the normal version, then load the game again in PAL, then reload your savestate, this eliminates the freezes in the game.

hmm. I've heard of the breaker beam freeze before, but I haven't heard of any probs with it yet. The 5th star is a new onr to me. the gane freezes after the Jonny star?

in the zsnes version yes. In the display screen of getting the 5th star. However, its nothing to do with ur hack, this was a standard issue to zsnes players

So when the 5th star gets on the star road..the game freezes right? I'll see if I can find a loop hole around this.

the PAL version will bypass any point where the game would freeze on the Zsnes version. That does include the breaker beam move.

Just started playing this hack and it's sweet so far, but I've just gotten to rose town and bought the accessories there (trueform, serum, and wakeup pins), but the game freezes whenever I go to equip any of them. They're the first accessories I've touched yet, so it may be an across the board thing, I dunno.

Anyone know what the deal is? Since I've searched and no one else seems to have encountered this it's possible that this is just an issue with the rom I patched, and I'm going to dl another one to see if that fixes things. Of course it'll take me a bit to get back to where I am now to confirm if that's indeed the issue.

I believe the patch I dl'ed was the one advertised in the romhacking.net thread, so if that's a less current version that may also be the problem. I'm using zsnes the current version of zsnes (1.51). If anyone knows what I can do to fix this I'd be most appreciative. Hack's pretty fun, but somehow I suspect that not being able to equip accessories may cause me some problems down the line.

*EDIT* Ok, just read the thing above about loading in PAL and it fixed my problems. Disregard the above.

lol i stand corrected that is an occasional freezing part, and it happens sometimes with any item, it also does that when you use mallow, or peaches healing abilities in the menu, but the PAL version should clear that up, but to be safe, always save state before u equip any item, or heal ur characters outside of battle.

they are sole problems of the Zsnes emulators, it works on 9x fine. Also, the last boss, not smithy, and i dont want to spoil, but its the very last of your creations, does not give you the item that the game says you obtained, just wanted u to know. great hack though, really enjoyed it.

That was a dialonge error by me. Look in your inventory for the new item..hen use it in battle..do a Super jump and watch.

the OTHER one gave me the item to battle Culex, its the item that Culex gives in the end, its not there.

That was my error. It said something else, but look in your inventorryu..it's there. Use that item....let them attack whith physicals.. Do Super Jump, Ultra flame, Star rain.

Note that it only woks for times hits: Fire Orb, Super Flame, Ultra Flame, Jumps, Revive, Star rain.

It won't work with Geno Beam and Snowy commands.

It also blocks physicals 100%, the ones that CAN be blocked..so have some fun with The Master.

Also...it buffs the whole party when used.

And if you where able to make it past room 2 of boss rush, then Smithy should be a pushover.
