Hi everyone--

I badly want to get tactics 1.3 working because it looks amazing, but I'm having trouble getting started. I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I have PCSX, I have the image (saved as .bin), and I have the ppf patch. I downloaded PPF-O-Matic from the Apple App store. I pull that up but when I attempt to patch the ppf onto the bin, nothing happens. Sometimes the program tells me I am almost out of room on my startup disk, so I cleared out a bunch of stuff I don't need. But when it doesn't tell me that, nothing happens. PPF-O-Matic just is stuck processing. Is this supposed to take a while? Any advice? Thanks in advance!

if I remember correctly, PPF-O-Matic can sometimes be really saucy/ picky about how you open things, when you open them, and what you open them with, etc.

I think what I had to do was to open the patch from my desktop ("Open With -> PPF-O-Matic"), which would open the application with the patch already in place, and then put my FFT.bin file in that. I would try a couple different orders of operation (so to speak). Also, I know PPF-O-Matic has caused little glitches like this before, so you might want to try a forum for that application too, since you might get more and better answers there.

Hmm. I've not tried it on the Mac side. The only thing that comes to mind is to make sure that the .bin file isn't flagged as read-only.

Well, after much trial and tribulation, I got it to work. I'm not really sure how it happened, but it did. Thanks for the tips! I just beat the Mandalia Plains battle. I can already tell that this will be a great new addiction...
