Now, I know a lot of you naysayers may say you need at least (insert amount here) to get a decent build. Well I think I can manage to scrounge myself up some good parts and not break that 750 barrier. Not going to buy it all at once, probably a couple of the essential parts such as the cpu, motherboard, memory, and hard drive I'll start buying over the next 2 or 3 weeks. Then by the end of September, I'll get everything else that I need, namely, graphics card, case, power supply, heat sink, etc. I've been watching a few vids and have some idea of what I want.
So far my build is looking like:
CPU:
AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6GHz Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor FD8150FRGUBOX
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16819103960
Motherboard
:ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16813131767
RAM:
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B

Harddrive:
Hitachi GST 0A39289 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" x 1/3H ULTRASTAR A7K2000 25.4MM 32MB Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Graphics:

heat sink:(Didn't have much options for this, much help appreciated, don't even know if I need this)
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 2011/1366/1155 and AMD FM1/AM3+

http://www.newegg.co...N82E16817139020
DVD Drive:(I honestly couldn't care less about this, but I think I need it all the same)
SAMSUNG 22X DVD Burner 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 22X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 24X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM SATA Model SH-222BB/BEBE - OEM
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16827151244
Case:
Fractal Design Core 1000 Micro ATX Computer Case w/ 1 x 120mm fan
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16811352009
What I need help with:
Everything. I'm no computer expert and I don't know how well this stuff stacks up so if someone out there keeps up with all the latest and greatest pc parts, I'd like to know. Also, I'd like to know if all this stuff will actually work with each other. I'd hate to buy something then find it's not compatible with the rest of my build.
I'm not too certain about harddrives. Looking for something with a decent rpm if anyone has any tips.
On Newegg, the total price of everything is $815. I'd like to cut that down if at all possible. Like I said, I'm not too familiar with everything so I might even be missing some components I need or perhaps spending too much on something I don't need. If I shop around a bit on amazon and other stores, I can get the price cut down a bit which'll help me out a lot. Either way, yeah, ayudame! Thanks.

It seems pretty legit and helpful, but I'd still like some feedback from anybody knowledgeable about pcs.

If you're going to spend $109, spend it on this.

I own a zambezi on one of my PC's. It's really fast, especially for a budget. Intel's technology is on a different level, so I would always suggest that if you have the money. You don't need a heat sink, your processor will come with a certified heatsink/ fan. Other than that, I would say just pay the extra 50 if you can. Your system will be kickass.

My PC in and of itself turns my room into a fucking oven. If I didn't have my fan in here it's entirely plausible I'd pass out. In the Winter it's not as bad, but in the Summer oh my fucking god. D:
If you can spare the cash for it, I would recommend checking around for a decent liquid-cooling system. All a heat sink does is spread the heat around the room.
Edit: mfw that CPU

But in all seriousness, I feel the need to warn you about my experiences with newegg. If when they ship you your shit, the product is damaged in any way and you want to return it, they make you pay the return shipping. If you want a refund?
I once ordered a graphics card from them and it was DoA. I was so furious when they made me pay to get a refund.

Runs like a dream. There were a few other things as well, but they aren't really that relevant.
I love the monitor though: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16824001572

I've never had this issue, and I run 2 pc's in my room at once.
You probably have an issue with your fan
Have you checked the idle temps on ur cpu/gpu?

I don't think it's my fan; it's probably more that I haven't replaced my CPU in the better part of a decade and our AC leaves much to be desired.
