So, sometimes people get stuck in places, or don't have enough of certain items that would help them, or can't figure out when or where to find certain materia/weapons/armor/enemies, thus we have this thread here with various tips and tricks for people to use. This thread is open for anyone to ask questions and post replies, but replies MUST be in spoiler tags (or transparent color text) so that the only way people will know these spoilers is if they purposely go out of their way to look for them.
So, let me copy/paste an earlier question/answer from another thread to start things out.

I have a typhoon ring. But one typhoon ring isn't enough.

Near the Gold Saucer desert, there's an area where you can see Chocobo Tracks and catch them. Well, every now and then you can get a battle with a Harpy (I.E. Chimera) and Chocobo, and if you morph that Harpy, you will get a Typhoon Ring from it. I figured this out because the vanilla game had a similiar thing going on in that area. Now you know. ^_^
So, fill free to ask questions about things, as well as answer them (though spoilers or transparent text is expected with said answers).
Heh. Ok, since I decided to start up a new game, I figured I may as well start with some tips from the start as well. First, the Hell House monster right after you meet Aeris/Aerith can be morphed into a very decent weapon for Tifa. The best way to succeed is to have your characters in the back row and let the Hell House hit itself with its water attack two times before morphing it. Another thing to take note of is that monsters tend to have three item to steal (common, uncommon, rare), so when you are fighting monsters and bosses, it pays to mess around to see what might change with the stealing attempts.
With that info, one of the Rare monsters in the Train Graveyard, the one that looks like a mechanical horse chariot thing I can never remember the name of, has two items you will WANT to steal from it. The uncommon item is a relic that prevents stone and one or two other status effects. The rare item is one of the better weapons you can grab in Disc 1 for Aeris/Aerith with five materia slots total (two linked). That said, that monster is an absolute pain in the ass to steal from before you get that relic for your stealer to use, so keep that in mind, as it may take a while.
Omega Weapon and King Benemoth are venerable to L5 Suicide, like 9999 damage venerable.
Harriers in the Junon forests can be Morphed into Boomerangs for 700 gil. For Fort Condor money grinding.
Bad Breath will nullify almost all human enemies.
Elemental plus Revive/Restore gives Holy elemental. I didn't realize this until I saw someone stream. Comet will give you Hidden.
Yuffie has good enough accuracy in general that D Blow will almost always hit.
The Tyrant section of the Northern Cave might be the easiest to go down (it has HP Plus). It's the section with the waterfall or going down twice when the party talks about splitting up. The Jungle section has a very difficult boss, but is still crazy fantastic for AP grinding like between 10k and 45k per special fight (without triple AP weapons; Movers or Magic Pots). The movers are physically VERY dangerous and have a Tri Attack that is magical).
