The popularity of valks in the first 4 stages is really unlucky for Octopi. Though early game is when terrain matters most, so at least they are gods on water. Sirius could maybe use some buffing to reflect WW's improved growth and to compensate for the Infected reduced resistances. It's really hard to care about the early bosses, though, heh. I'll throw some stat points his way, though. Pretty much the trouble with bosses in the first half of the game is half of them join you, and join you with the same stats as they have when you fight them, so I just generally don't make bosses in that segment of the game too tough.

I do agree that harder bosses earlier on would be good (at least for ones that don't join up): it'd be less of a surprise when players run into Gares or such later, IMO, if the early boss fights were ramped up more. Though Deneb can certainly be very challenging with the Witch change, even with the previous version.

I thought of compatability, but that only effects gains at level not stats while in unit right? Also losing str and gaining int was weird. Especailly since it was an equal amount. Debonair was a fucking pain BTW. Warren as a Sorcerer only hit him 1 out of like 8 times and that for 15 damage with phantom, whereas my lord's swath did more and hit more frequently. But I eroded him away eventually. Vid up as soon as rendering and upload is done, so fire on it being this evening since it'll take an hour or so to render and 8-10 to upload, maybe more.

I received a stone of dragos this stage, so I promoted my starting Diana to Dragoner. I still need an undead staff to go with my undead ring though - an early lich will be key. I have to troll Pogrom to fix some alignment issues anyway .. so here's hoping.

My undead did well, but this stage only has 2 enemy groups with white magic (both clerics).
