Topics I've Started
13 August 2016 - 11:39 PMFirst of all, you regular schlubs can embed images again. Don't abuse it.
Second, there is now a NSFW channel. Don't even fucking think about posting nsfw shit in the main channel. Post your big black dicks in the NSFW channel (unless you are advent, he can post em wherever he wants).
25 April 2016 - 03:02 AMSo, I currently have a coworker that is hands down the best coworker I've ever had. If for whatever reason he no longer works where I do, I am handing in my notice.
He is the type of guy who works his ass off. He doesn't want to go home until everyone is done. No matter what. Got to work at opening? Fuck it, hes gonna help close the dish pit. He's very often one of the first people there, and one of the last to leave.
Because of that, I also stay late. I've worked an extra 3-4 hours multiple times because I wanted to help him close. If he is willing to pull a 13 hour day to help me get out earlier, I would be the biggest piece of shit to not do the same. In every other job I've ever had, I was always "Well, my shits done. Time to leave." With this job, its "Well, my shits done. Time to go help the dishwasher."
This guy will also take the blame for anything that gets fucked up. So of course, I have to as well. Ever argued with a coworker with the boss over who fucked up? I have.
This is the type of person who busts his ass, helps everyone that he can, and is basically the best worker I've ever had the pleasure to come across. He has taken my work ethic from "Do the best job I can for my scheduled time, then go home" to "work myself into the ground." He works hard as fuck to make sure everyone has as good of a day as possible, and as a result a lot of people around him work their asses off to make sure he has a good day. This is honestly the most pleasant work experience I've ever had.
The other night, I woke up and was puking. I had only had 3 beers, so I wasn't drunk. At any other job ive ever had, "vomiting that isnt caused by alcohol" would have automatically meant "calling in sick." But calling in sick would have made this guys day so fucking shitty. I've never before not called in sick because of a coworker.
I havent seen any of my friends in a month. I havent played warmachine in a month. I havent seen my room mate in 4 days. I havent beaten Dark Souls 3 despite owning since release. And yet, it's all bearable thank to the best coworker I've ever had.
Fucking cheers to him.
20 April 2016 - 02:09 AMWe, as a community, tend to get off topic real quick. So, with multiple channels, instead of the topic being changed as a result of natural conversation progression, we have a bunch of shit being said in side channels.
For the mods hosted here, having a channel for the mod is helpful both for fans and the creator. The creator gets a log of everything being said, and people asking questions will get answers because the creator is almost certainly going to see it.
For Dark Souls 3, I made the channel to give a week of breathing room, so people who couldn't get it on release and cram it could have the opportunity to figure shit out themselves, spoiler free. However, my intent was only on having it up for a week, and then taking it down. Seeing at least 1 person express wanting to discuss some hardcore spoiler shit, but feeling that the channel wasn't the right place makes me feel that the channel needs to be repurposed.
I think it should be a channel for late game stuff, serious lore discussion, and the like. Stuff that you only have an interesting in seeing if you have gotten pretty far or beaten the game. General talk like "fuck this specific enemy" should be allowed. Lets be honest, if you havent played it yet, you likely won't play it soon. And you can't avoid spoilers forever.
However, I'm not going to do something that isn't easily undone on my own feelings. If i change the format, and then a lot of people who wanted to remain unspoiled get spoiled, I can't take it back.
So, should the channel be made for pretty major spoilers, or should it stay the way it is?
09 April 2016 - 11:26 PMDiscussion of Dark Souls 3 containing spoilers in the main channel is not allowed. There is a separate channel for a reason. First infraction will result in a warning, second in a temporary ban (of like an hour).
This is in effect until 4/18. Im not trying to break you balls here, just have some fucking courtesy for a week.
