Posts I've Made
5 hours agoWhy not a Floating Continent run? Set up a save file directly before the IAF battles. Pick a reasonable level and EL (nothing invested) a specific subset of gear (maybe store bought only in limited quantities). Goal is to beat the IAF and clear Atma Weapon.
Yeah, that's also a classic challenge: beat Atma Weapon with this specific setup. The option to turn off exp. gain means you can also be required to fight randoms on the way up.
23 hours agoBNW has a lot of well-established challenges, but what I'd be personally most interested in seeing is a standard run with a challenging-yet-reasonable level cap. 30/20 has already proven to be a good challenge, though 25/15 would also be interesting. Anything lower is in wackjob territory.

3 days agoWe have no interest in the endgame content of FF6A. I personally consider it to be very halfassed and thrown on with absolutely no regard for balance or whether or not it even actually fits thematically (the Dragon's Den in particular sticks out like a sore thumb). There are a couple of ideas that I have for when/if we ever get around to 2.0, which will add content in a way that I feel would fit in a lot better with the game.
Beyond that, the FF6A ROM is *far* less-explored than the SNES version is, and a lot of what we do would be difficult or practically impossible for the time being.
4 days agoSo, I'm just going to say something here real quick, and that's that lots of people here are going to have different opinions about things. And that's good. That's exactly what I want. If everyone was in agreement about something being too strong or not strong enough, then it's something I would need to fix. That such points are hotly debatable is a sign to me that I've done my job well.
So by all means discuss what you wish - but the absolute last thing I want is for *any* member of this board, new or old, to be discouraged from speaking their mind. Let's keep it civil, gentlemen.
